VACCINE MANDATE UPDATE

We continue to monitor the mandates set by states, municipalities and health systems regarding COVID-19 vaccination requirements for healthcare workers. These orders vary by state and municipality regarding when they go into effect, who is impacted and whether there are exemptions or accommodations for those who are not vaccinated. Fusion Marketplace is not requiring travelers to have a COVID-19 vaccination to apply to open positions, however we encourage you to work directly with your agency and to do your best to stay up to date on any changes. The map below will be updated every Friday with any current changes we may discover during our research.

Current State & Municipality Requirement Changes

California - Vaccine mandate for healthcare workers effective 8/23/21; Must be fully vaccinated by 9/30/21; Booster required for healthcare workers and employees in high-risk congregate settings by 3/1/22 (extended from 2/1/22)

Colorado - Vaccine mandate for all healthcare workers; Must have first dose by 9/30/21, Second dose by 10/31/21.
Connecticut - Vaccine mandate for long-term care workers; Must have first dose by 9/27/21. All LTC and state hospital employees must receive booster if eligible by 3/7/22.
Delaware - Vaccine mandate for healthcare workers effective 9/30/21
District of Columbia - Vaccine mandate for all healthcare workers; must be fully vaccinated including booster dose by 3/1/22
Hawaii - State mandate does not apply to healthcare workers
Illinois - Vaccine mandate for healthcare workers; Must have first dose by 9/19/21
Kentucky - Vaccine mandate for state healthcare workers; Must be fully vaccinated by 10/1/21 or test 2x per week
Louisiana - State mandate does not apply to healthcare workers
Maine - Vaccine mandate for healthcare workers; Must be fully vaccinated by 10/29/21
Maryland - Vaccine mandate for healthcare workers; Must have first dose by 9/1/21
Massachusetts - Vaccine mandate for long term care and home health workers; Long term care workers must be fully vaccinated by 10/10, home health workers must be fully vaccinated by 10/31/21. Booster required by 2/28/22.
Minnesota - State mandate does not apply to healthcare workers
Nevada - Vaccine mandate for state employees; Must be fully vaccinated by 11/1/21
New Jersey - Vaccine mandate for healthcare workers; Must by fully vaccinated by 9/7/21; booster for eligible recipients by 4/11/22, or within 3 weeks after becoming eligible.
New Mexico - Vaccine mandate for healthcare workers effective; Booster required for eligible recipients no later than 1/17/22 or within 4 weeks of becoming eligible
New York - Vaccine mandate for healthcare workers; booster dose no longer being enforced (previous deadline to receive booster dose was 2/21/2022), the State will reassess the need to increase booster rates in three months
North Carolina - State mandate does not apply to healthcare workers
Oregon - Vaccine mandate for healthcare workers; Must be fully vaccinated by 10/18/21
Pennsylvania - Vaccine mandate for state employees; Must be fully vaccinated by 9/7/21
Puerto Rico - Vaccine mandate for healthcare workers; Must be fully vaccinated by 9/30/21; Booster required for healthcare workers and employees in public and private education sectors by 1/15/22
Rhode Island - Vaccine mandate for healthcare workers; Must be fully vaccinated, including booster dose when eligible; N95 mask required if not fully vaccinated
Vermont - State mandate does not apply to healthcare workers
Virginia - Vaccine mandate for state employees; Must be fully vaccinated by 9/1/21
Washington - Vaccine mandate for healthcare workers; Must be fully vaccinated by 10/18/21
Wisconsin - State mandate does not apply to healthcare workers
